I’ve built and scaled three startups from the ground up, working both on-site and remotely.
Recently, I’ve co-founded Zido, a Dubai-based platform for freelancers that brings bookings, payments, and e-commerce together. It helps independent businesses grow with personalized storefronts, CRM features, and tools to manage relationships, schedule appointments, and handle payments.
Then there’s Tabeo, a UK-based healthcare finance platform offering BNPL solutions. I designed and built the platform from scratch as employee #1, wearing the CTO-hat and scaling the tech team and helping raise $370M+ in funding. I also designed TabeoSprint, a framework for distributed microservices, powering a system expected to process £1B+ in payments by 2025.
Before that, I co-founded PikslMe, a UK-based martech and adtech startup acquired by ExchangeWire in 2015.
Earlier on, I built macOS productivity tools used by JPL, Apple, and thousands of creatives worldwide, including film composers and Dave Gibbons of Watchmen and Kingsman fame.
Before diving into startups and software development, I worked in investment banking and risk management.
A few other things:
- I mentor at startup events and accelerators.
- Selected for a Fulbright Scholarship for an MBA—but chose startups instead.
- Alumni of the US Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program.
- Graduate of computer science and economics degrees from Birkbeck and City, University of London.
Outside of work? Full-time husband to an amazing wife and dad to three amazing kids. Also into cooking, writing, retro computers, and designing and building electronic projects.
